As Sotheby’s Production Partner for nearly a decade, Surrender Pictures built the structure and plan behind the modern video program, conceptualizing, developing and producing 100s of films a year and radically scaling the brand visibility and reach.

Sotheby’s needed a video ecosystem to bring their historic brand into the digital age, while retaining its high taste level. As a production partner, Surrender Pictures conceptualized, developed, and produced hundreds of films to radically scale the brand’s visibility and reach while maintaining the auction house’s prestige.

Surrender Pictures works closely with Julien’s Auctions to execute production for the promotion of high profile sales. Working with items from Lebron James’ iconic high school jersey, to Prince’s custom Cloud guitar, to George Harrison’s famous 1960’s Futurama, Surrender has been a part of a number of Julien’s most successful auctions.

Production Partner 2022 - Present

PepsiCo tapped Surrender Pictures to produce all content for their national She Is PepsiCo campaign, which focused on highlighting women at the company who work in manufacturing, as part of Women’s History Month.
On an escalated timeline, we deployed teams around North America to capture photos and video, resulting in a fleet of delivery trucks wrapped in the campaign photos, and a 4-minute inspirational hero film to promote the campaign.

The Institute of Classical Art & Architecture logo

The Institute of Classical Art & Architecture wanted to develop long-form original content that would bring an audience’s attention to the non-profit in ways traditional video marketing cannot. 

To do so, Surrender Pictures came up with Design in Mind , a series focused on different creators who span the art world yet all keep classical design and formats in mind during their process. From filmmakers and architects, to interior designers, we’ve produced 4, 30-minute episodes from pitch through delivery, all of which now have a comfortable home on PBS.

We often get connected to clients for our ability to identify, explore, and tell an otherwise intellectual story in a digestible way. That was no different for the New York Public Library who came to us to produce their 7-part series for the new Bloomberg Connects App, focused on exploring their Treasures Exhibition.
While the structure and the objects for each film were decided by the client, we helped wrap a visual approach to both the shoot and edit that would help educate our viewers, while also stirring interest to keep engagement at the forefront.

We partner with TEFAF to produce all video content for their internationally recognized art fairs in New York and the Netherlands. Over the fair, working nimbly within a very short timeframe, we develop and produce a suite of completely unique daily short films. These short videos are fed to TEFAF’s social media audience of over 200,000, and rack up tens of thousands of views. We also capture all panel discussions hosted at the fair, and release them—during the fair. No biggie.
