AMes Bro’s - Pearl Jam
Auction Campaign: Creative / Production / Post
The Ames Bros didn’t just make posters. They helped define the visual language of alternative rock.
That was the backbone of our approach when partnering with Julien’s Auctions to develop the announcement and editorial content for Ames Bros: A Visual Concert Poster Legacy Comes to Auction - a story built around 30+ rare, limited-edition Pearl Jam concert posters and nearly three decades of collaboration between the band and the artists behind the ink.
To honor their craft and legacy, we traced how these screen-printed pieces evolved from show-night promo into highly collectible works of art, the kind of artifacts that hold the history, energy, and identity of live music.
-
Surrender Pictures partnered with Julien’s Auctions to produce editorial documentary content exploring the visual legacy of the Ames Bros’ concert posters for Pearl Jam.
The project reframes concert posters as cultural artifacts that shaped the visual identity of alternative rock.
-
Surrender led creative development, production, and post-production, combining narrative storytelling with detailed visual documentation of rare artifacts.
Post-production emphasized editorial clarity and historical context.
-
The content supported auction marketing and continues to function as evergreen music, design, and cultural storytelling within the collectibles space.
