Bunny Williams - Not a House But a Home

Long Form Documentary: Creative / Production / Post

Since the mid 2010’s, the Institute of Classical Art & Architecture  sought to support a long-form original content series that would bring an audience’s attention to the non-profit in ways traditional video marketing was unable to.

Accordingly, Surrender Pictures developed Design in Mind , a series focused on exploring the work of various artists across a range of mediums who all follow the core principle of keeping classical design integrated into their process.  From filmmakers and architects, to interior designers, the 30 minute episodes - produced by Surrender from pitch to delivery -  all have a comfortable home on PBS, with the next installment slated for release next year.

In this episode, we explore the work and play of renowned interior designer Bunny Williams and a few key projects across her career, including the house she now calls home.

  • Surrender Pictures produced a long-form documentary episode for the Institute of Classical Art & Architecture as part of the Design in Mind series, focusing on renowned interior designer Bunny Williams. The project explores how classical design principles inform both professional practice and personal living environments.

Designed for a broad cultural and educational audience, the film connects interior design, architecture, and lifestyle through thoughtful, observational storytelling.

  • Surrender handled creative development, video production, and post-production from pitch through delivery. Production included on-location filming across multiple environments, capturing Williams’ work and home with a restrained, detail-driven visual approach.

Post-production focused on long-form narrative structure and editorial pacing suitable for broadcast and institutional platforms.

  • The episode aired on PBS and continues to live across ICAA’s digital platforms. It functions as evergreen educational content, supporting institutional outreach, design education, and long-form cultural programming.
