As an agency of record for Sotheby’s, we were tasked with producing a 10-part video series exploring the various criteria that Sotheby’s specialist’ use to value a work of art. From condition and color, to rarity and authenticity, we spent nearly 6 months developing, producing, capturing and editing the series which the client uses to this day as a way to educate and inspire future collectors.

Surrender Pictures partnered with Sotheby’s to produce a ten-part educational video series explaining how works of art are evaluated and valued. The project demystifies complex criteria such as condition, rarity, and authenticity.
The series was designed to educate and inspire both new and experienced collectors.

Surrender handled development, production, and post-production over a six-month period, ensuring consistency across all episodes.
Post-production focused on clarity, cohesion, and accessibility across the full series.

The series continues to be used by Sotheby’s as evergreen educational content, supporting collector education and institutional authority.
