COPPERSEA DISTILLING
Coppersea Heritage Distillery Methods
Production Partner: Creative / Production / Post
Coppersea Distillery is one of the last whiskey distillery farms to use heritage methods. This method was integral when we engaged with Coppersea to develop the films that would ultimately define their brand and explain the process that makes their product unlike any other whiskey.
From grain to glass, Founder Christopher Briar takes us through Coppersea’s traditional process over the course of this series to define what helps them achieve terroir and embody the flora and fauna of the Hudson valley in each barrel of spirits they distill.

Surrender Pictures partnered with Coppersea Distilling to produce brand documentary video content exploring the heritage methods behind its whiskey production in the Hudson Valley, New York. The project focused on process, provenance, and place, positioning Coppersea’s approach within the broader craft distilling landscape.
The content was designed to define brand identity through transparency and craftsmanship.

Surrender handled on-location video production and post-production, capturing founder-led storytelling and hands-on distillation processes from grain to glass. The production emphasized authenticity, environmental context, and detail-driven visuals.
Post-production shaped the footage into a cohesive narrative series suitable for brand, educational, and digital use.

The series supports Coppersea’s website storytelling, brand marketing, and educational outreach. It functions as evergreen brand content explaining process, terroir, and values.
